We’re officially enjoying the first full week of fall. Well, here in New Jersey we’re actually “enjoying” some insane rain storms.

YouTube tries to connect videos to e-Commerce: Many retailers have added videos to their e-Commerce sites and social feeds in order to create more compelling customer experiences. Videos also help consumers see products in action, an element that was once missing from the online shopping experience. Now, YouTube is trying to connect its video content to commerce by adding shopping ads that allow consumers to shop items featured in clips.

Blake Lively shutters lifestyle site: Celebs like Lauren Conrad, Gwyneth Paltrow and Reese Witherspoon have launched successful lifestyle brands and outlets. Despite initial buzz, former Gossip Girl Blake Lively plans to shut down her site, Preserve, a little more than a year after its launch. Lively dished out a few excuses, we mean reasons, for the decision, so you can make the decision yourself as to why her efforts fell flat.

Under Armour tackles IoT: A variety of sporting goods retailers and athletic brands are hopping on the wearables train. It makes sense: Fitbit is currently the most popular wearable, and the Apple Watch is following shortly behind. Regardless of top players, there are a lot of gadgets designed to track activity, and Under Armour has made a series of purchases, and has an updated app in the works, to help the brand exceed competitors.

Well, that’s all folks! Be on the lookout for more breaking retail news, case studies and trend piece on the RTP web site and blog! Have a great weekend!
