Aligning with Dubai’s culture of experiential luxury, the Perfume Showroom, designed by Mumbai, India-headquartered SDA Designs, embraces an ornate style that ensures clients feel as though they are engaging in a special shopping experience. The two-floor, 800-square-foot location comprises a ground-level retail space in which fragrances are displayed and sampled, while a private office, administrative area and private meeting area for priority clients occupy the second level.
Perfume Showroom exemplifies Dubai’s reputation for luxuriously designed spaces through the store’s fixtures and design patterns, while updated displays boast sleek, deep-blue shelves outlined in slim gold framing. Between each floor-to-ceiling shelving unit, walls are lined with beveled-edge mirrors — enhancing the space by creating the illusion of a larger showroom — while smaller gold shelving displays showcase additional fragrance bottles.
At the top of each mirrored panel sits a Victorian-era inspired crystal sconce that illuminates the displays below. Tiny recessed ceiling fixtures play into the elegant atmosphere of the space, while a crystal chandelier serves as the central lighting feature. Below the chandelier, customers will find customized bucket-seat barstools in plush, diamond-tufted cadet gray, set around a royal-blue paneled bar, where they may sample woodsy or custom scents and make their purchases.
