Thompson explains that location analytics takes Big Data and combines location information, so retailers can find out why certain shoppers are going to particular stores and buying particular products. He notes that most types of retailers can adopt location analytics easily. “Location is the way of aggregating information in new ways,” Thompson says. Current customers include Petco, Nike and Darden Restaurants.
