SenSource, a people counting software solution provider, has configured its existing products into SAFESPACE, an occupancy monitoring solution designed to help retailers maintain social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic. The platform can help retailers track how many shoppers have entered their stores, both in real time and historically.
SAFESPACE consists of two primary components:
- A smart device interface that lets workers manually count people as they enter or leave a store, with the ability to put a running tally on a monitor; and
- An optional People Counting sensor, which automatically counts shoppers at both the entrances and exits of the store.
Both parts of the system are capable of creating reports that let retailers look at historical data to identify customer traffic trends. SenSource has been increasing its inventory levels in preparation for an uptick of business to ensure interested retailers will be able to roll out people counting systems efficiently.
