ACI Worldwide, a real-time electronic payment and banking solution provider, has added a new feature to the ACI Speedpay platform designed to help address growing consumer bill payment needs and over-burdened call centers during the COVID-19 pandemic. A survey of 40 U.S. consumer finance companies found that 60% stated that call volume had increased between 25% to 100%, while 6% saw no change in incoming call volumes.
The “Delay My Payment” feature will build off the moBills mobile wallet to provide an automated process for payment deferrals based on pre-determined criteria. The solution is designed to reduce the burden on call center agents by giving shoppers tools that let them request relief directly.
Delay My Payment was created to work in an integrated suite with other bill presentment and payment services on the ACI Speedpay platform. Other ACI Speedpay features include fraud protection and flexible payment restructure plan options.
