Ecommerce optimization platform Ideoclick has launched Share of Search, a solution designed to help CPG brands target Amazon shoppers based on their behavior. The tool utilizes Amazon search share analytics and competitive benchmarking to help retailers implement search-based strategies that can grow their market share.
The heart of the solution is Customer Search Groups (CSG) — related, high-traffic keywords relevant to specific products that can identify and measure “categories” on Amazon. CSGs were created to help retailers:
- Understand customer needs and search behavior while building shopper profiles;
- Bring a familiar language to marketing on Amazon that can be used in other channels; and
- Target winnable keywords, develop relevance and measure progress.
Share of Search was designed to identify search-based categories on Amazon and benchmark the client’s competitive position. The tool provides insight into who is winning the top paid and organic ad placements as a way to identify must-win Amazon keywords as along with competitive gaps relative to pricing, assortment, reviews and more.
