Even seemingly small things can mean the difference between making an online sale and getting the old “click-off” from consumers. Here’s some solid advice for creating a successful e-Commerce site:
- On product pages, place product images on the top left side so shoppers see them first;
- Enable guest checkout and/or social media sign-up on shopping cart pages;
- On checkout pages, don’t ask shoppers for a credit card type — it should be highlighted when they input the first four digits of their card number; and
- Make security cues such as SSL certificates prominent to encourage customer trust in the purchasing process.
