Soccer.com America's favorite World Cup teams.

As the FIFA World Cup — the world’s largest sporting event — gets underway, it turns out that not everyone in the U.S. will be rooting for their hometown team.

America is after all the great melting pot, and online soccer store Soccer.com has uncovered some surprising hotbeds of international fandom across the country based on the bestselling men’s national team jerseys by state over the last month.

While most of the country will indeed be turning out for Team USA, Mexico will have pretty significant support from U.S.-based viewers with that country topping the list in eight states. Other fun discoveries include:

  • A bevy of Argentinian fans camping out in Alaska;
  • Strong support for Brazil coming out of both Florida and Rhode Island; and
  • A pocket of British fans holding the fort up in Vermont.
