America’s (and the World’s) Most Valuable Brand: Amazon

U.S. companies dominated the list of the world’s most valuable brands in 2023, comprising seven of the top 10, according to data from Brand Finance and TradingPedia. The biggest of them all is Amazon, valued at just under $300 billion. Amazon shouldered past 2022 leader Apple, which lost 16% of its value and has a current worth of $297.51 billion. Walmart’s $113.78 billion value earned it fifth place in the U.S.

Around the world, retail companies and consumer brands made strong showings, with several identified as their country’s most valuable: Ikea (Norway); Woolworths (Australia); Louis Vuitton (France); Gucci (Italy); Mercado Libre (Argentina); and Lego (Denmark).
