47% of Fashion Retailers Have Failed To Adapt Ecommerce Approach For COVID-19

Almost half of fashion retailers have not adjusted their ecommerce strategies since COVID-19 upended the industry, according to an online study of 1,000 U.S. PayPal ecommerce retailers. This failure to adapt could spell trouble during Q4, particularly for the 22% that say their future depends on holiday sales.

In addition, more than half (52%) of fashion retailers are unsure whether customers will use fitting rooms in their stores. Some merchants are dealing with these concerns by deploying virtual fit or sizing tools (26%), virtual showrooms (23%) and virtual stylists (23%).
