Consumers constantly are attached to their mobile devices. In fact, due to the smartphone’s instant connectivity to images, information and communication, it’s the ideal tool to help shoppers throughout the browsing and buying journey. Trumpia, a provider of multi-channel marketing and messaging solutions, has announced the beta release of its new mobile-enabled rewards program, designed to provide consumers with instant access to loyalty accounts directly through their smartphones.
Acting as an alternative to traditional loyalty cards, which take up wallet space and easily can be misplaced, Trumpia’s new offering integrates directly into consumers’ mobile phones, yet allows businesses to engage across several channels. For example, the Trumpia mobile rewards initiative allows shoppers to scan QR codes or text mobile keywords to receive offers and rewards.
“Now a business can offer its customers the best of the old punch card system conveniently and securely on their mobile phones,” said Derek Rhie, Co-Founder and Director of Sales and Support for Trumpia, in a press statement. “Our mobile rewards card program makes it easy for people to connect and engage with their favorite business again and again so they can take advantage of the perks of being a loyal customer. At the same time, it helps a business improve its bottom line by increasing revenues, saving administrative costs and avoiding fraudulent stamping activities that are often associated with paper or plastic cards.”

The new loyalty initiative is integrated into Trumpia’s solution suite, which includes SMS, email, instant messaging and social media marketing. As a result, retailers have more opportunities to engage with customers across a variety of platforms. Through this All-In-One Marketing approach, merchants can boost their opt-in database and send special offers to rewards program members.
Trumpia’s loyalty platform addresses fraud by requiring an approval step for all payments and offer redemptions. During each reward point transaction, approval is required by the retail associate. The platform also tracks program activity and flags any suspicious events.
