Why Content Is King In The New Retail Era

Content has been king for quite some time for B2B marketers. E-books, white papers, infographics and webinars have become staples in business’ marketing repertoire to educate and engage potential buyers.

But now, it’s time for the retailers to spread the (content) love.

In a recent RTP feature, Managing Editor Kim Zimmermann, spotlighted retailers that are offering more detailed content on their web sites, and providing more images, videos and other resources, to help customers ensure they’re making the best decisions. 

For example, Helzberg Diamonds has added detailed videos to its e-Commerce site. 

Ashley Collins, E-commerce Navigation Manager for the retailer explained: “We have educational videos explaining the different types of diamond cuts, colors and quality. If we can educate the consumer throughout the process, we are offering a competitive advantage.”
