The Holiday 2012 Shopper Unwrapped [Infographic]

As more consumers continue to shop this holiday, 84% plan to complete their “Santa lists” by shopping online. The majority (88%) of consumers
said they will be researching products online prior to making a purchase. In addition, the National Retail Federation predicts in-store holiday sales will reach $586 billion.

In 2011, the biggest holiday shopping days were on Black Friday ($19.2 billion), the day before Christmas Eve ($17.8 billion) and December 17 ($15.7 billion).

This infographic highlights consumer spending habits via online and in brick-and-mortar stores as well as the methods consumers are using to research items on their wishlists.
