IoT Dominates RTP’s Top 15 Stories Of 2015 (So Far): To commemorate our halfway mark through 2015, RTP published a list touting its most popular stories of the year. Although the list included a broad scope of topics and formats, such as features, bylines and Q&As, IoT was mentioned quite a bit! Check out this article to see what else you missed over the past six months.

Amazon Prime Grows To 44 Million U.S. Members: On the heels of its 20th birthday, Amazon has reached a new landmark: It’s Prime service has acquired 44 million U.S. members since its inception. Although this is undoubtedly great news for the online giant, it will be interesting to see how its new holiday, Prime Day, will impact short-term and long-term sign-ups.

Birchbox Announces Plans To Open More Store: After the successful opening of its SoHo flagship, cosmetics subscription company and eTailer Birchbox has plans to open two more stores over the next year. This move if by no means surprising. The retailer has acquired a very loyal base of customers and has won over new audiences due to its focus on encouraging experimentation and discovery. However, we’re excited to see whether the design and merchandising approach of the SoHo flagship will be carried on, or if Birchbox will experiment with different concepts to see how they resonate with customers.

Ed Hardy Founder Passes Away: It was a sad day for fashion followers and rock style lovers when it was announced that Ed Hardy founder Christian Audigier passed away at the age of 57. He was diagnosed with MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome) in January, and was battling the disease since. Although he was undeniably gone too soon, Audigier will be remembered for building the Ed Hardy brand and creating highly unique and memorable designs.
