Pop-ups are a great way for brands to connect with shoppers in a more intimate way. Whether they’re launching a new product or simply looking to boost brand awareness and product education, companies have taken a myriad of approaches to the pop-up phenomenon.
This summer, adidas debuted Boost Experience by adidas, an interactive space designed to spotlight adidas products and proprietary technologies. The iconic sports brand officially launched the experience at the San Francisco Marathon in July, and will connect with running fanatics at races across the nation through the end of 2015.
The pop-up space was crafted to be scalable based on the size and location of specific events, and enables participants to touch-and-feel products while testing the Boost technology first-hand. An interactive kinetic wall features Boost capsules that move in response to foot traffic; a try-on area showcases a vast assortment of Boost footwear; and a Momentum Wall provides a trial experience in which movements are recorded with a motion capture camera and displayed on a full size LED video wall.
