The powers of e-Commerce are helping consumers expand beyond their home countries and purchase items from a variety of brands and retailers.
Up to 67% of consumers worldwide now are shopping outside of their home countries, according to research from Dyn, an Internet Performance company. Most (87%) Chinese respondents said they shop with retailers outside their home country, as do 62% of European consumers.
International e-Commerce is undoubtedly on the rise, presenting brands and retailers with new revenue opportunities. But how are consumers currently viewing the international e-Commerce experience?

Based on results from this new research, perceptions and attitudes aren’t so positive.
Specifically, consumers believe web site issues and slow load times are hindering their shopping journeys. Nearly one-third (33%) of consumers are willing to abandon a web site and search elsewhere if they encounter a slow site.
The time is now for retailers to optimize their e-Commerce shopping experiences, especially for international consumers. Want proof? Dyn reports that 60% of consumers would shop with international brands and retailers if the experience was better.
