Whether a retailer decides to use a unique design concept, cutting-edge technology or tailored assortment, flagship stores are supposed to create a shopping journey that’s special and memorable.
This holiday season, Barneys New York partnered with Christie to integrate display technology into its flagship location to create an immersive experience reminiscent of an art gallery.

Magical windows and an in-store gallery are inspired by rapper Jay Z, visual artist Joanie Lemercier and Barney’s creative director Dennis Freedman. Titled “A New York Holiday,” the series of display windows facing Madison Avenue tap interactive Christie technology to add a multimedia twist to the classic New York City holiday staples.
Regarding the partnership, Freedman noted that it was “the most extraordinary, creative collaboration I’ve experienced since joining Barneys.
