86% of Consumers Still Shopping Online at or Above Pre-Pandemic Levels

Inflation isn’t dampening the holiday spirit — 86% of shoppers plan to shop the same or more online than they did pre-pandemic. The top categories for digital shoppers this year are expected to be fashion apparel (50%), consumer tech (39%) and groceries (36%).

However, the emphasis on digital purchasing doesn’t mean retailers should neglect their brick-and-mortar displays. In fact, 54% of shoppers said they’re likely to look at a product online but buy it in-store, and another 53% like to browse products online before making the actual purchase in-store.

Learn more about omnichannel holiday shopping habits — and potential headaches — in this infographic from Coveo.
