Advertising on company web sites has its perks; company web sites are listed as the most trusted advertising medium, as noted in a recent study from the Better Business Bureau (BBB).

However, company ads often are perceived to be “somewhat exaggerated” (57%) or “somewhat accurate” (21%). The most trusted forms of product promotion are: recommendations from family and friends, online consumer opinions, and editorial content such as articles.
