Woof! 94% of Consumers Shop for Pet Gifts During the Holidays

When it comes to gift-giving this holiday season, 94% of consumers will shop for their pets, with 58% of pet parents planning to buy two to three gifts for their animals for an average total spend of $50 per shopper. Presentation is also important to pet parents, with 87% planning to hang a stocking for their animals and 58% intent on wrapping gifts for their furry family members.

Nor is holiday spending on animals restricted to pet goods: approximately 33% of consumers will bake holiday treats for their animals, meaning they must shop grocery retailers for ingredients, while 25% of pet parents will decorate their homes with pet-themed décor.
