While Google Paid Search tops overall return on ad spend (ROAS) in 2021 at 13.76, up 31% year-over-year, Amazon offers the most efficient cost-per-click at $0.39 and Instagram boasts the highest conversion rate, at 8.07%.
Category matters too: apparel retailers can find the lowest cost per acquisition on Facebook, at $6.17, while the highest ROAS for computers and electronics was 9.91 on Google Shopping. In comparison, house and home retailers earned a 17.42 ROAS on Instagram.
