Instagram Has The Reach, But Snapchat Wins On Functionality

In a side-by-side comparison, Instagram has the numbers but Snapchat has the functionality. Its winning features include:

  • Geofilters that are unique to Snapchat, with branded geofilters available;
  • Stickers and Bitmojis (customizable cartoon avatars); and
  • Regularly updated Snapchat and branded lenses.

But Snapchat simply can’t match Instagram’s stats: 300 million daily active users vs. Snapchat’s 150 million. Instagram also boasts a 92% brand adoption rate, more than twice the 40% brand adoption rate of Snapchat, according to this infographic from Mediakix.
