1-800-FLOWERS.COM will acquire PersonalizationMall.com, an e-Commerce retailer that specializes in personalized items, for $252 million. The deal includes the personalizationmall.com web site and a 360,000-square-foot production and distribution facility in Bolingbrook, Ill.
PersonalizationMall.com utilizes a wide variety of processes to create personalized gifts, including sublimation, embroidery, digital printing, engraving and sandblasting. The retailer has a highly automated personalization process that enables rapid order fulfillment for both consumer and corporate orders.
This assortment of customizable products and personalization options will complement 1-800-FLOWERS.COM’s broader portfolio of gifting brands. The deal also will build on 1-800-FLOWERS.COM’s own personalization efforts, including the recently launched “Just For You” newsfeed, which offers shoppers personalized updates, promotions and calendar reminders.
