As consumers, we’re always looking for ways to get the products we want faster and easier. But sometimes, in the vast e-Commerce universe, it is sometimes challenging to find exactly what we’re looking for.
Bloglovin’, a platform that allows visitors to follow their favorite fashion and lifestyle blogs from a central location, is trying to tackle this issue head-on. Tapping its expertise and position in the fashion world, Bloglovin’ has launched Bloglovin’ Shop, a new e-Commerce destination aimed to help consumers discover trending fashion and lifestyle products.
All looks and items are curated by top fashion and lifestyle influencers, such as Leandra Medine of Man Repeller and Zanita Whittington of Zanita Studio, in limited-time shops. Items are aggregated from thousands of retailers and brands, thus empowering consumers with all tastes and budgets to shop looks recommended by fashion icons.

The Bloglovin’ Shop is very clean, organized and very similar to a standard e-Commerce site. However, the power of the experience lies in getting the approval of top influencers, and its focus on specific collections or themes. However, consumers can easily sift through collections based on the specific item they’re looking for, whether it’s a dress or pair of shoes. Consumers also can easily jump between collections from a side tool bar that provides seamless access to each fashion “issue.”
To ensure its shops only feature the most popular items, Bloglovin’ Shops will leverage data and algorithms built on its base of more than six million users. Accessories, apparel and beauty products will be featured based on number of readers, shares and saves they garner.
The overall design, approach and execution of the Bloglovin’ Shop is something all retailers can take cues from. For one, the data-driven approach helps ensure that merchants are only spotlighting items and brands that consumers care about. Additionally, curated collections and lookbooks are an effective way to inspire consumers, and encourage them to discover new brands and outfit ideas.
What are your thoughts on Bloglovin’ Shop? Would you shop on a site that encouraged fashion blogging and e-Commerce to converge?
