Albertsons Enhances Both Paid and Free Loyalty Programs with Uber One Benefits

Albertsons will offer extended free trial periods in the Uber One membership program to the nearly 49 million members of both its paid and free loyalty programs. The Uber loyalty program offers $0 delivery fees on food and other products (over the minimum subtotal), up to 10% off eligible Uber Eats deliveries and pickups, and 6% back on eligible Uber rides.

Members of Albertsons free for U loyalty program are eligible for a three-month extended free trial of Uber One, while members of the paid FreshPass program receive a six-month trial.

“We are proud to lead the industry by making Uber One perks available to all loyalty members, not just paid subscribers, because value should be accessible to everyone,” said Terry Singla, GVP Merchandising at Albertsons in a statement.

“This expanded collaboration builds on the strong partnership we’ve already built between Uber and Albertsons – and makes shopping not just easier, but more rewarding,” said Hashim Amin, Head of Grocery and Retail for North America at Uber in a statement. “By bringing Uber One benefits to all of their loyalty members, we’re offering even more value and convenience across the experiences customers already love.”

In September 2025, Albertsons added travel booking benefits powered by Expedia to its loyalty program perks, including 5% cash back on groceries for members of the free program and 10% cash back for FreshPass members.
