Under Armour Promotes Execs To COO And Newly Created CXO Role

Under Armour has promoted Colin Browne to the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Paul Fipps to the newly created position of Chief Experience Officer (CXO), effective Feb. 17. Both will report directly to President and CEO Patrik Fisk.

Browne will be responsible for supply chain and sourcing operations, demand planning, distribution, information technology, business process management, corporate real estate, asset protection and sustainability. He has been with Under Armour since 2016, first as President of Global Sourcing and later as Chief Supply Chain Officer. and his previous experience includes leadership roles at VF Corporation and Reebok.

Fipps will oversee Under Armour’s overall consumer experience and digital strategy, including its global retail and e-Commerce business, Connected Fitness platform, software engineering, customer relationship management, human performance and data science functions. He has been with Under Armour since 2014 in roles including SVP of Global Operations, Chief Information Officer, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Digital Officer.

“Both Colin and Paul are proven leaders who have played significant roles in Under Armour’s ongoing strategic and operational transformation,” said Fisk in a statement. “As we continue working to instill greater efficiency and discipline across the brand to enable deeper connections with consumers, these leadership appointments further advance our ability to successfully execute against our long-term strategies.”
