Retail TouchPoints has named Kate Robertson its new Editor in Chief, adding a journalist with experience covering the retail sector, brand strategy and consumer behavior to lead the publication’s editorial coverage.
Robertson will oversee coverage of the retail industry with a focus on trends, innovation and the evolving landscape of brands and consumer behavior. The appointment places her at the helm of an online publishing network that serves retail executives with breaking news, analysis, research, webinars, podcasts and newsletters centered on customer experience and long-term business growth.
Robertson brings retail reporting experience from Shop Eat Surf Outdoor, where she covered the outdoor industry and followed major retailers including Dick’s Sporting Goods and REI, as well as well-known brands such as The North Face. Before joining that publication, she spent six years reporting on the cannabis industry and legalization.
Her appointment adds to a leadership group with deep experience across retail media, content and partnerships.
Kate Walker, Retail TouchPoints Associate Publisher
Associate Publisher Kate Walker, who recently joined the team, brings more than 13 years of experience across media organizations, with a background in retail media and integrated digital partnerships. Walker’s experience includes eight years at Fairchild Media, where she led advertising and sponsorship initiatives for B2B brands including Women’s Wear Daily, Footwear News, Sourcing Journal and Beauty Inc. She also has held senior media roles at Bustle Digital Group and Informa.
Tiffany Montgomery, Content and Editorial Director
The broader Retail TouchPoints editorial organization is led by Tiffany Montgomery, Group Director of Content and Editorial for Sports and Retail at parent company Emerald. Montgomery oversees the editorial teams for Retail TouchPoints, Shop Eat Surf Outdoor and Impressions Magazine. Her background includes work as a retail editor and business reporter for the Orange County Register, as well as founding the B2B trade publication Shop Eat Surf in 2007. Emerald, the parent company of Retail TouchPoints, acquired the publication in 2019.
