Adrienne Lofton has resigned from her role as SVP of Global Brand Management at Under Armour to join Nike, according to AdWeek.
“Adrienne Lofton has decided to pursue another opportunity outside of Under Armour and we wish her all the best in her next endeavor,” said an Under Armour spokesperson in a statement. “During her nine-year tenure, Adrienne has contributed significantly to the growth of the company. As part of UA’s long-term succession planning, Attica Jaques will now lead the global brand management team.”
Lofton joined Under Armour as Senior Director of Global Brand Marketing in 2008 and was named SVP in January 2015 following her return to the company. From April 2013 to December 2014, she departed from Under Armour to work as SVP, Chief Marketing Officer at Levi Strauss & Co., according to her Linkedin profile.

The hiring coincides with other Nike efforts to improve diversity and ensure that both men and women receive equal and competitive compensation.
