GameStop Hires Amazon Veteran as Chief Growth Officer

GameStop has named Elliott Wilke to the role of Chief Growth Officer, effective April 5, 2021. He joins the retailer from Amazon, where he spent the past seven years holding a variety of senior roles across segments including Amazon Fresh, Prime Pantry and Worldwide Private Brands.

At GameStop, Wilke will oversee growth strategies and marketing, with a focus on increasing customer loyalty and growing the reach of Power Up Rewards and Game Informer. He also will work with other company leaders on initiatives that include expanding the company’s use of customer insights and metrics to optimize channel marketing.   

Additionally, GameStop made two other executive hires:

  • Andrea Wolfe, VP of Brand Development: Wolfe previously served as VP of Marketing at Chewy, and she will help drive branding, content, social media strategy and other digital initiatives in her new role; and
  • Tom Petersen, VP of Merchandising : Petersen previously served as VP of Merchandising at Chewy, and will help drive vendor relations, product management and related merchandising initiatives at GameStop.
