Kohl’s is betting on the power of impulse purchases with the expansion of its Deal Bar offerings to all 1,100+ stores. These curated destinations for on-trend gifts, seasonal items and everyday essentials are located in the front of each Kohl’s store, where their $10 and under price tags can tempt shoppers to make a last-minute addition to their baskets.
The Deal Bar assortments include:
- Kids’ activities, including sticker books, window clings and DIY craft kits;
- Seasonal selections with products tied to specific moments, such as bug catchers for summer, party favors for the Fourth of July, Easter basket fillers and Mother’s Day goodies;
- Thoughtful, affordable appreciation gifts for Teacher or Nurse Appreciation weeks; and
- Getting organized with storage options and home product replenishments along with stationery and office gadgets.
Currently, the Kohl’s Deal Bars are stocked with wellness products and accessories, including meal prep dishes, silverware and sharkers, along with fitness apparel like jump ropes and yoga blocks, as well as Easter decorations, candles, craft projects and activity books.
Kohl’s named interim CEO Michael Bender to the top spot permanently in November 2025. Bender had been named interim CEO in May 2025 after the former CEO, Ashley Buchanan, was terminated for “engaging in vendor transactions that involved undisclosed conflicts of interest.”
