The openings include 35 Ross Dress for Less stores and 12 dd’s Discounts locations in 15 states and territories, according to a news release.
“Each new opening allows us to deliver compelling value to even more customers while creating new jobs and making a positive impact in the local communities,” said Richard Lietz, EVP, Property Development, in a statement.
The new Ross Dress for Less stores are in Puerto Rico, New York, Michigan and key Sunbelt states, bringing the total to 1,952 stores. The new dd’s locations opened in California, Florida, North Carolina and Texas, bringing the total to 376.
In the first quarter ended May 2, Ross Stores reported 21% total sales growth and 17% comparable sales growth. The California-based apparel retailer raised its 2026 FY same-store sales growth projection to the 6% to 7% range.
“Looking ahead, we see attractive opportunities as off‑price continues to grow, and we are well positioned to capitalize on them,” Lietz said.
