DTC ecommerce solution provider ESW will acquire Scalefast, an end-to-end ecommerce company, in a deal that is expected to close by mid-year 2022. Scalefast Co-founders Nicolas Stehle and Frédéric Bocquet, the company’s CEO and CTO respectively, will join ESW’s senior leadership team.
The acquisition aims to extend ESW’s market strength across apparel, beauty, personal care and luxury brands to include entertainment, gaming and electronics. Scalefast’s data analytics and speed-to-market also will facilitate turnkey localized stores, digital ‘pop-up’ stores and highly targeted DTC brand campaigns, with the goal of complementing ESW’s cross-border DTC solutions and end-to-end customer experience capabilities.
The combined solution provider will have more than 1,000 employees and work to build on the best aspects of each company’s culture. Together, ESW and Scalefast will serve customers in more than 200 markets. Scalefast’s rapid ecommerce-building platform will combine with ESW’s checkout, payment gateway and logistics offerings, as well as its ecosystem of global logistics partners, to help retailers around the world build their omnichannel capabilities.
“ESW’s acquisition of Scalefast demonstrates our commitment and ambition to accelerate growth for our customers by empowering them to be at the forefront of rapidly evolving consumer requirements around the world,” said Tommy Kelly, Founder and CEO of ESW in a statement. “Scalefast’s technology offering is highly complementary and will enable ESW to unleash new capabilities and deliver even faster direct-to-consumer ecommerce growth for new and existing clients.”
