Outerwear retailer Canada Goose will open its first California store in fall 2021 at the South Coast Plaza Mall in Costa Mesa, Calif., where it will house its first-ever Snow Room in the U.S.
Following a successful pop-up at The Grove in Los Angeles this past winter, the permanent Orange County store will carry the full Canada Goose collection that’s fit for the Southern California lifestyle, including lightweight down styles, rain and wind gear, knitwear and more for men, women and children.
For those looking to purchase a winter coat and test the product in Arctic-style weather conditions, the store also will feature the first-ever U.S. rendition of Canada Goose’s Snow Room. Shoppers can be immersed in snow throughout the day amid temperatures as low as -10° Fahrenheit. Inspired by the climate of Churchill, Manitoba, the Snow Room replicates various conditions for visitors to experience Canada Goose products’ functionality and performance.
Additionally, the South Coast Plaza store will spotlight Canada Goose’s HUMANATURE, brought to life through artistry, as well as store and product design, with sustainability at the forefront. The HUMANATURE platform is designed to unite the brand’s sustainability and values-based initiatives, including its Sustainable Impact Strategy, philanthropic work and dedication to culture through the arts.

For the Costa Mesa location, the brand also is partnering with Toronto artist Winnie Truong, bringing her work to life in the space. Additional works of art by Inuit artisans, such as illustrations and sculptures, will be showcased throughout the store as part of the brand’s Northern Art Program.
Currently, Canada Goose operates more than 25 stores around the world.
