This spring at its flagship store in Las Vegas, Puma will introduce AI Store Concierge, a multilingual AI-powered assistant designed to give shoppers information about Puma Performance Running products as well as fit and technical details. In the form of a large display, the Concierge, which is powered by Nvidia, will automatically detect the language a customer is speaking but will not track or store any personal data, and will be able to check if an item is in-stock at the store.
“By integrating this technology directly into the store environment, we’re making product exploration faster, more intuitive and more accessible,” said Pedro Silva, VP, Direct-to-Consumer Technology at Puma in a statement. “With this first example of the AI Concierge, we will gather feedback and explore how to further scale this technology on our DTC channels.”
The Concierge was built in collaboration with Google Cloud and LiveX.AI, a holographic AI agent company, and is powered by an Nvidia Nemotron model. It’s been designed to support Puma retail associates, allowing conversations with shoppers to transition seamlessly to store teams who can give more personalized advice. In addition to English, the AI Concierge will support languages including Mandarin, Spanish, French and Arabic.
“When Nemotron open-source models run on Nvidia NIM and NeMo microservices, AI becomes a real partner on the sales floor, helping store teams connect with shoppers, tell better product stories and elevate customer service where it matters most,” said Andrew Sun, Senior Director, Retail Business Development at Nvidia in a statement.
