Best Buy has appointed Anne Bramman as EVP and CFO, filling the role left vacant by Matt Bilunas’s July 31 departure as the retailer continues its broader leadership transition under incoming CEO Jason Bonfig.

Key Takeaways:

  • Anne Bramman joins Best Buy as EVP and CFO effective August 19.
  • She will report to incoming CEO Jason Bonfig and join his executive leadership team as he succeeds Corie Barry, who steps down October 31, with Bonfig becoming CEO November 1.
  • Bramman previously served as Chief Financial Officer at Nordstrom, Avery Dennison and Carnival Cruise Line.

Best Buy has named Anne Bramman as its new CFO, closing out a search the company disclosed in July when it restructured five other executive roles ahead of Bonfig’s handoff from Barry.

Bramman brings more than three decades of finance, operations, strategy and transformation experience to the role. She joins Best Buy from Circana, a consumer analytics company, where she served as Chief Financial and Growth Officer. Earlier in her career, Bramman was CFO at Nordstrom, where she led financial strategy, capital allocation and digital transformation efforts. She also held the CFO title at Avery Dennison and Carnival Cruise Line and served in senior finance leadership roles at L Brands. She currently sits on the boards of Morningstar and McCormick & Company.

In her new role, Bramman will lead Best Buy’s global finance organization and work alongside Bonfig and the rest of the leadership team on the company’s strategic priorities.

“Anne brings an impressive and unique combination of finance and operations experience that aligns perfectly with Best Buy and where we’re headed,” Bonfig said in a statement. “Her consumer expertise, along with her proven track record of leading teams and creating long-term shareholder value will be instrumental as we take on our next chapter.”

“I’ve long admired Best Buy’s ability to adapt, innovate and stay deeply connected to its customers,” Bramman said in a statement. “I’m thrilled to join the company and I look forward to working with Jason and the impressive Best Buy team to help accelerate growth and build an exciting future together.”

Completing the Best Buy Leadership Realignment

Bramman’s appointment follows a wave of executive changes Best Buy announced in July, when five leaders were named to restructured roles reporting to Bonfig: Frank Bedo as Chief Strategy and Growth Officer, Patrick McGinnis as Chief Revenue Officer, Luke Motschenbacher as Chief Retail and Services Officer, Lisa Valentino as Chief Ads and Media Officer and Duane Scarboro as Chief Fulfillment and Operations Officer. Chief Communications and Public Affairs Officer Jeff Haydock and Chief Marketing Officer Jennie Weber also report to Bonfig.

At the time of that announcement, Best Buy was still conducting an external search for a Chief Financial Officer, a gap Bramman’s hire now fills.

Bonfig, a 26-year company veteran previously serving as Chief Customer, Product and Fulfillment Officer, will become Best Buy’s sixth CEO. Barry steps down as CEO and from the Board on October 31, with Bonfig taking over and joining the Board November 1. Barry will remain with the company as a strategic advisor for six months following her departure.

Best Buy generated more than $41.6 billion in revenue in fiscal 2026 and operates more than 1,000 stores across North America.
