Nespresso has opened its latest flagship store in NYC’s Flatiron district, the eighth — and largest — of its kind in the world. The first floor of the 13,900-square-foot space reflects the brand’s refreshed boutique design, while the lower level features two custom-curated spaces: a Hidden Cup Coffee Bar that will showcase exclusive recipes released throughout the year, and a Nespresso Lounge where customers can test their barista skills with self-service coffee machines.
In the Hidden Cup Coffee Bar, customers can try trend-inspired drinks like functionally enhanced coffees and zero-proof blends. Experiential offerings include a proprietary signature mocktail experience, specifically designed to infuse coffee aromas into a multisensory coffee mixology experience. The Nespresso Lounge will offer details of where Nespresso Professional Machines can be found in restaurants and hotels across New York City.
The ground floor will be a hub for customers to get their first experience of the Nespresso brand, featuring an area for self-guided tastings, a Coffee Theatre for employee-led master classes and a Nespresso “coffee bard” available to answer questions.,
“Our Nespresso New York City Flagship is more than a boutique,” said Jason Webber, VP of Sales at Nespresso USA in a statement. “As the pinnacle of our retail strategy, it’s the first in North America to bring our vision to life, blending the elements of discovery and experience with a local NYC touch,.”
Nespresso debuted its flagship concept in April 2021 in Vienna. The retailer operates in 96 markets with a total of 818 stores.
