Ikea U.S. will open a total of 10 new stores in 2026, including its first location in Oklahoma and the first city-center store for Los Angeles, located in Culver City, Calif. The retailer has been steadily growing its U.S. brick-and-mortar footprint: during its FY2025, which ended Aug. 31, 2025, Ikea opened 14 new retail locations, including two smaller-format stores in Arcadia, Calif. and San Marcos, Texas.
The new U.S. stores will be located in:
- Culver City, Calif.;
- Tulsa, Okla.;
- Gurnee Mills, Ill. (Chicago area);
- Fort Collins, Colo.;
- Huntsville, Ala.;
- University Park, Texas (Dallas area);
- Rockwall, Texas (Dallas area);
- Phoenix;
- Chantilly/Dulles in the Washington, D.C. area; and
- Houston-Webster, Texas.
Ikea also revealed FY 2025 results for the U.S., including $5.3 billion in total sales, 61 million store visitors and more than 457 million online visitors. The Ikea Family Rewards loyalty program reached 25 million memberships during FY 2025, a 17% increase over the previous fiscal year.
“FY25 was a year of meaningful connection and growth despite a challenging external environment,” said Rob Olson, Interim CEO of Ikea U.S. in a statement. “We strengthened our ability to serve customers through new store formats, digital innovation and expanded rewards, all while reinforcing our commitment to communities and the environment.
“Looking ahead to FY26, we will build on this momentum, focusing on continued investment in the U.S. to make Ikea more affordable, accessible and sustainable,” Olson added.
In October 2025 Ikea’s investment arm purchased a building in NYC’s SoHo neighborhood that will be the site of the retailer’s second Manhattan store, eventually joining a planned store in Midtown.
Some of Ikea’s physical growth hasn’t required building its own stores: in November 2025 Ikea revealed the locations of kitchen and laundry planning center shop-in-shops at Best Buy stores in Florida and Texas.
