Autonomous smart store chain VenHub is continuing its expansion across Southern California with a new store in Hollywood, Calif., just steps away from the Hollywood Bowl event venue.
Each VenHub Smart Store is a fully autonomous unit that operates 24/7 with no on-site staff. The shopping experience and mobile-first checkout are powered by robotics and intelligent systems that help ensure speed, precision and security. Items carried include typical convenience store fare such as packaged food and beverages, over-the-counter medicines and household essentials.
The latest VenHub location follows recent rollouts in Glendale and North Hollywood, as well as at the Metro Transit Center at LAX.
“There is extraordinary demand for what we’re building,” said Shahan Ohanessian, Founder and CEO of VenHub in a statement. “We are in discussions with location leaders, public agencies, business owners and enterprise partners across the country and around the world who recognize VenHub as a trusted solution for modern retail access. Several additional states are already in our expansion pipeline, and more updates will be shared soon as we grow our footprint in California and beyond.”

Autonomous store formats are proving to be particularly successful in site-specific, primarily smaller retail environments like sports and entertainment venues, travel hubs and places where staffing for extended hours would be cost-prohibitive, like hospitals and college campuses.
