HomeGoods will shut down its ecommerce site on Oct. 21, 2023. The off-price furniture and décor retailer, a subsidiary of The TJX Companies, made a belated ecommerce debut in September 2021 but now has decided to focus its energies on the in-store experience.

“We can confirm that we will no longer offer online shopping on HomeGoods.com after October 21, 2023,” according to a statement from TJX provided to Retail TouchPoints. “We will stop taking orders from customers at that time and complete our final shipments. HomeGoods.com will continue to provide décor inspiration and trends for our customers. We have offered all our associates affected by this decision other jobs within our company.

“We’ve made the decision to focus our resources on our more than 900 brick-and-mortar stores across the United States, where we invite our passionate customers to continue shopping for home fashion and décor,” the statement continued. “Customers may also continue to shop online at our sister sites www.tjmaxx.comwww.marshalls.com, and www.sierra.com, which will not be affected by this decision.”
