Following its acquisition of Zulily and the revival of Overstock.com, Beyond, Inc. is shoring up its executive team with a slate of eight high-level appointments across its business.
“The most important part of building a long-term, profitable, growing business is putting the right players on the field,” said Marcus Lemonis, newly appointed Executive Chairman of Beyond, Inc. in a statement. “We’ve assembled a world-class team with the proper incentives and alignment that will execute the very clear go-to-market strategy around our three anchor brands.”
New additions and promotions at Beyond include:
- Guncha Mehta joins as Chief Digital and Information Officer. Mehta held various senior leadership roles at Madison Square Garden, Avis Budget Group and The Children’s Place before joining Party City Holdings as SVP and Chief Information Officer in 2021;
- Stacey Shively joins as Chief Merchandising Officer for the Bed Bath & Beyond brand from The Container Store, where she was also Chief Merchandising Officer. Prior to that she was at the legacy Bed Bath & Beyond company and also held merchant leadership roles at JCPenney and Dollar Tree. She began her career at Target;
- Angela Minor joins as Chief Marketing Officer for Bed Bath & Beyond, bringing extensive strategy and retail marketing experience from leadership positions at Michael’s, Pier 1, Sears, Kmart, and most recently as Chief Marketing Officer for specialty retailer Conn’s HomePlus;
- Deb Bollom has been promoted to Chief Merchandising Officer of Overstock from her previous role as Chief Merchandising Officer for Bed Bath & Beyond. She has 25+ years of prior merchandising experience running multi-billion-dollar businesses for Target;
- Steph Whitacrehas been promoted to SVP and General Manager of Zulily from her previous role as VP, Merchandising. Prior to joining Beyond, she held leadership merchandising positions at Saks Off Fifth, Bloomingdale’s and Burberry; she started her career at Bergdorf Goodman;
- Alexis Callahan joins as VP of Investor Relations and Public Relations. Callahan is rejoining Beyond, Inc., having spearheaded development of the IR program at Overstock in 2020. In the interim she implemented strategic investor relations programs at Tupperware Brands and Esperion Therapeutics; and
- Chris Peake joins as Director of Merchandising for Zulily, bringing almost three years of experience from legacy Zulily where he was most recently Merchandise Director. Before that, he spent 16 years at Zappos and began his career in merchandising and operations at Lombardi Sports.
These new appointments follow the addition of new CEOs for the Bed Bath & Beyond and Overstock.com brands in February 2024.
