Macy’s has introduced personal stylists, available virtually or in person, to help shoppers both select outfits for themselves and find the right gifts for others during the holiday season. The stylists also can offer advice on home décor and help customers perfect their virtual backdrop for video celebrations.
Shoppers can make an appointment by visiting macys.com/personalstylist and choosing their location, date and preferred time, as well as select whether they want an in-person or virtual meeting. Customers then fill out a small quiz to help the stylist get a better understanding of their personal style and preferences. The length of appointments depends on the purpose: selecting gifts can be handled in under an hour, while complete wardrobe refreshes can take several hours.
Macy’s also has formed a partnership with Klarna for a buy now, pay later option that also is aimed at creating a smoother holiday shopping experience. Other holiday additions include a variety of advent calendars, from chocolate to wine, and a gift guide that highlights selections at the $100, $50, $25 and $15 price ranges.
