Amazon may be pulling back on brick-and-mortar, but stores, at least the digital kind, are clearly still a focus for the ecommerce giant. Exhibit #1: Amazon’s virtual holiday shop. The new 3D immersive experience joins a host of other virtual showrooms and stores powered by Amazon Beyond, the company’s virtual shopping division.
The new Virtual Holiday Shop features a selection of top holiday gifts, interactive content, cheerful music and animations to help customers find the perfect gift for everyone on their list. Visitors can explore a selection of more than 100 gifts, stocking stuffers and holiday décor items, including products from brands such as Beats x Kim Kardashian, Kate Spade, Bumble and Bumble and Coach. Interactive elements, like a conveyor belt of gifts and shimmering ornaments on the ceiling, also will unlock surprises in the shop, and the virtual store will be continuously refreshed with new products throughout the holiday season.
Visitors also can navigate to the new Virtual Toy Shop, a separate 3D experience spotlighting popular toys from brands including Lego, Play-Doh and Disney, as well as small business favorites like Rainbow Loom, Magna-Tiles and Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza. They’ll also find a selection of customer favorites and trending products from Amazon’s seasonal Holiday Kids Gift Book.
To explore the Virtual Holiday and Toy Shops, customers can visit Amazon’s virtual showrooms hub, where they also can check out 3D spaces for brands such as Lego, Breville, Star Wars, Disney and others, as well as get inspiration for holiday home décor by visiting the shoppable homes of popular influencers.
