H-E-B has appointed Jag Bath to the newly created position of Chief Digital Officer. He will oversee all of the grocery retailer’s digital products and services as the company expands its omnichannel offerings across Texas.
Bath will remain CEO of Favor Delivery, the on-demand delivery service that is wholly owned by H-E-B. The retailer is expanding its physical logistics as well, investing at least $130 million in a new San Antonio warehouse slated to open in 2020, according to San Antonio Express-News. The one million-square-foot facility marks the retailer’s largest manufacturing and supply chain division investment to-date.
