Pottery Barn Teen has upgraded its digital tools and added design services for young shoppers figuring out how to furnish their college rooms.
New features of the Pottery Barn Dorm platform include the “Build My Bed” Visualizer, which guides customers through a 3D rendering of each layer of their Twin XL bed, using proprietary AR technology that allows customers to spin and zoom in on true-life imagery prior to purchase.
Additionally, the “Ultimate Dorm Wishlist” keeps track of everything needed for a college dorm, with a collaborator feature that allows both parents and students to add items and share the wish list with gift-givers and roommates. With the “Pick Up Near Campus” feature, shoppers can purchase items online early and set a future date to pick them up from any Williams-Sonoma, West Elm, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids or Pottery Barn Teen store near their college campus. When customers select their school, the nearest store will automatically populate with the items, and will hold them for 30 days after the pickup date to allow for flexibility.
Shoppers can access the free Dorm Design Services virtually or in person to work with a Dorm Expert who will help with every step of the project, from layout and design direction to order placement and final delivery.
