Meijer has partnered with Instacart to offer same-day delivery to homes near its stores in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois and Wisconsin. The partnership will cover thousands of grocery products and household essentials as well as a broad selection of general merchandise, across categories including home décor, toys and crafts, garden, sports and outdoor, office and electronics.
Once an order is placed, shoppers can choose a delivery window to have their order brought to their home in as little as one hour. Instacart personal shoppers will pick and deliver items from the nearest Meijer store.
“Customers rely on Instacart to get the groceries and goods they need from the retailers they love, and today we’re proud to welcome Meijer to our marketplace so they can further connect with their customers online,” said Nilam Ganenthiran, President of Instacart in a statement. “Meijer is an iconic, family-owned grocer that has served families across the Midwest for more than 85 years.”
Instacart has formed partnerships with more than 500 retailers and can deliver to 85% of U.S. households from nearly 40,000 stores. Some retailers that recently started using the platform include:
