In a recent survey, Prime Student found that 79% of college students are saving up for travel, with 43% of those students prioritizing a trip home to see family or a friend. Amazon Prime is helping these students get home for the holidays through a partnership with StudentUniverse, a travel deal aggregator. Through a special promotion, a limited number of Prime Student members will be able to get $25 flights to and from home during the holiday season.
Prime Student members can visit the Prime Student x StudentUniverse page to book tickets on select domestic flights while supplies last. Tickets are only eligible for travel between mid-December and early January. A total of 3,000 $25 flight tickets will be available during this promotion, with 1,000 tickets dropping at 12 a.m. PST on Dec. 6 and 7, 2023. Once those 3,000 tickets are claimed, StudentUniverse will give Prime Student members a promotional code to receive $25 off flights. “As travel costs continue to rise, we’re happy to help make flying more affordable for Prime Students who want to spend this important time with family and friends,” said Carmen Nestares, VP of U.S. Prime and Marketing Tech at Amazon in a statement. “It’s another way we’re delivering incredible savings, value and convenience to our Prime Student members each year.”
Prime Student members get access to numerous benefits through their accounts. In addition to the delivery and entertainment perks that all Prime members receive, Prime Student members can rent and buy discount textbooks, get access to one month of free homework support and live tutors, and even receive a free three-month Premium subscription to the Calm meditation app.
