Salesforce has entered a definitive agreement to acquire Rebel, an email commerce solution provider. The deal will help Rebel accelerate its development of tools that help marketers create seamless interactive email experiences.
Rebel offers email and API solutions that turn emails into an extension of a retailer’s web site or app, and that integrate directly with existing email providers. The platform’s capabilities include data collection and giving shoppers the ability to make a purchase directly from their inbox.
Current Rebel users include Dollar Shave Club, L'Oréal, HelloFresh and The Home Depot. The home improvement chain saw a 55% boost in completed reviews after using the Rebelmail platform to let customers review products using in-email forms.
