Ascential plc, the parent company of e-Commerce analytics provider One Click Retail (OCR), has acquired Clavis Insight for $119 million in order to bolster its service offerings for retailers and CPGs.
The Clavis Insight platform is designed to produce e-Commerce analytics that help online retailers track and optimize the performance of their products.
Spencer Millerberg, Founder of One Click Retail, will work closely with Clavis Insights CEO Garry Moroney and Ascential CEO Duncan Painter in the coming months to integrate the companies’ respective core offerings and develop complementary products.

Millerberg noted in a statement that the new global e-Commerce intelligence platform will combine OCR’s Amazon sales measurement and share analytics capabilities with Clavis Insights’ digital shelf product.
The final acquisition price could increase depending on the performance of the combined company over the next three years, with up to $50 million more in earnout payments possible.
