Poq, an app commerce company, has raised $4 million in financing led by Beringea and additional seed investors Seedcamp and Venrex. The London-based company will use the funding to triple its development team and kick start international expansion outside of Europe.
Poq provides a SaaS platform that enables retailers to create customer-facing shopping apps, and it aims to empower more retailers to bring online shopping into the store. The platform has already hit £100m in app revenue and grew 600% year-over-year. This investment round closed as Poq secured two new clients: U.K. health retailer Holland & Barrett and e-Commerce retailer Made.com.
“Our mission is to drive more revenue through our platform than previous-generation web-based commerce platforms, through more advanced native app technology,” said Oyvind Henriksen, CEO and Co-Founder of Poq in a statement. “We are really excited about closing this funding round and continuing to lead the app commerce revolution.”
