The Home Depot has partnered with soccer superstar and team owner David Beckham for a FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign featuring a sweepstakes that will give one lucky fan a $10,000 Home Depot gift card to get their backyard World Cup-ready, along with a trip package for two to attend the World Cup Final in New York. Leading up to the finals, the retailer will invite fans to experience immersive “Beckham’s Backyard” spaces at FIFA Fan Festival events.
The Home Depot also has enhanced its Pro digital experience, helping contractors, renovators and remodelers better manage their projects with tools for planning, real-time delivery tracking, complex order scheduling, purchase history and shared access for team members — including on-site collaborations with the professional’s Home Depot Pro team.
Campaign Includes ‘Beckham’s Backyard’ Installations at FIFA Events
The “Beckham’s Backyard” immersive spaces at FIFA events will show off a Beckham-inspired backyard complete with pitch-perfect grass. The experiences will feature interactive soccer programming and activities celebrating the “doers” who make the match day happen.
“Some of my favorite soccer memories are watching big matches with friends and family,” said Beckham in a statement. “The World Cup creates that kind of excitement everywhere — not just in stadiums, but in homes too. I love the idea of fans creating their own match-day atmosphere at home.”
In addition to the top sweepstakes prize, fans also can receive an Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Adidas scarf with the purchase of select Makita power tools, available both in-store and online, and parents can sign up their kids to participate in soccer-themed workshops.
Pro Enhancements Designed for Day-to-Day Workflow
“Pros run their business from the truck, the jobsite and our aisles – not a desk,” said Mike Rowe, EVP of Pro for The Home Depot in a statement. “Our upgraded Pro site experience provides tools that work the way Pros do, by integrating project management into their mobile workspace to help them oversee entire jobs, not just individual purchases. And the best part is that all of these tools are available through one supplier.”
Key resources of the enhanced Pro tools, available online and on the Home Depot mobile app, include:
- Project planning, allowing Pros to organize large jobs with personalized delivery preferences, preferred pricing and inventory visibility. Pros have access to the majority of The Home Depot’s product assortment within the Project Planning tool, including millions of items available in stores and fulfillment centers. The recently launched Material List Builder AI integrates directly with the Project Planning tool, which interprets project intent to generate actionable material lists in seconds, helping Pros bid for jobs faster;
- Real-time delivery tracking: Pros can now track down-to-the-minute delivery of big and bulky materials like concrete, drywall and lumber;
- Complex order scheduling: Pros can schedule and manage deliveries even when items are coming from multiple locations, ensuring materials reach the jobsite based on availability;
- Purchase history: ongoing enhancements to purchase history that will allow for easy organization and search of previous orders and receipts, making reconciliation much simpler for Pros; and
- Shared access that allows Pros to maintain oversight while empowering their teams with customizable permissions, to help keep projects moving forward and allow leaders to focus on growing their business. Pros can also collaborate directly with their Home Depot Pro team within the site, providing consistent support and expertise on product selection regardless of whether a Pro is in-store or online.
